Both. Happy it happened but sad it took so long for it to happen.

Well, it's easy to understand that happening when you know that Kentucky didn't play Louisville from 1924 to 1994. Since Kentucky has only beaten Tennessee twice now since restarting the series with Louisville, it was a pretty strong likelihood you'd have to go all the way back. Plus, Matt Roark was the QB when Kentucky beat Tennessee in 2011 - the only start he ever made at that position.

It's highly likely that Derrick Ramsey would have done it both years in 1976 and 1977. Bill Ransdall in 1984 might have likewise accomplished the feat.

 

The stat is more alarming at the inability of KY to beat TN from 1984 to 2011 as it is the UL side of things.
