Who wins and why?

Nittany Lions! Thinking about catching a Penn State game probably the Big Ten championship.

Penn State is the best team in the country, they're about to roll through the rest of their schedule.

Penn State is so good. Just wait and see. I'd be surprised if they don't win their next two games by a combined 100 points.

Michigan would love a low scoring game - control the ball on the ground, keep it away from PSU's offense.

 

Unfortunately, MSU showed the world how to stop Michigan, and if Harbaugh panics like he did against MSU this one could get get away from Michigan.

That was the sole reason Michigan lost to MSU. Harbaugh continued to try and throw the ball when they had plenty of time to try the ground and pound strategy. It was an absolute down pour and even on little dump off passes the receivers couldn't hold on to the ball. Harbaugh absolutely panicked. MSU couldn't move the ball with any consistency against Michigans defense. Made zero sense. If I was a Michigan fan, which thank the good lord above I was born on the right side of the rivalry, I would be furious.

The key to Michigan is the D Line play. If they can get pressure rushing 4 guys they will be able to spy Barkey and McSorley out of the backfield. McSorley is a poor mans Johnny Manziel, if you can keep him in the pocket you'll be fine. Once he breaks containment though your DB's have to be smart because they want to hit the deep ball everytime he gets out. Michigans DB's aren't nearly good enough to cover for as long as they will be required to. Barkley I think will have a difficult time against Don Browns defense. Michigan has enough speed to recover when he breaks it outside and if they can get pressure on McSorley with 4 guys it can greatly limit Barkleys ability catching passes from the backfield. They'll spy him the whole game. If Michigan starts running a lot of exotic blitzes where they rush 7 guys or so all of the sudden you don't have the numbers to spy Barkley and that's when he'll take off for 75 yards on a dump off pass. I think Penn State wins something like 24-14.
