Cincyhoops
Welcome aboard and you are wrong. The KHSAA rules are the same for everyone. CovCath does not have any advantages over Cooper, only self-imposed rules by their local school district that are above and beyond the KHSAA rules. ============== Please everyone let this tired, old debate go or we will close this thread. It's a pretty solid debate. CJ lives in Ohio. CJ is arguably a top 5 player in Kentucky. CJ can't go to Cooper and live in Ohio. That would certainly constitute and advantage. That would certainly constitute and advantage. According to the KHSAA, which is the governing body for high school sports in the State of Kentucky, out of state players are permitted to go to any high school in Kentucky including Cooper. You are correct that some schools, like the Boone County schools (Boone County, Conner, Cooper, and Ryle) knowingly self-impose competitive disadvantages on their own schools. However, you can't self-impose restrictions on your own school district and then complain that others won't do the same. The practice is not only stupid but it is un-American.
