Belfry intercepts 4th and 8 pass from Midlands. Hunter runs 68 yards for TD BUT called back on hold.

Belfry going to try and run out this clock. I'm surprised MIdland didn't call a TO there.

Aside from the blatant missed call on the Wellman fumble, think officials have been solid so far

The announcers are doing a nice job. They are promoting Belfry really well.

That 1st half felt like a heavyweight fight being fought at a lightweight pace.

Story of the Half:

- Belfry had a decent drive brewing on the first poession and Wellman was stripped after rolling on the ground, refs didn't have a clear angle and Midland player sold the strip and Refs gave Midland the ball.

- Midland capitalized with a 44 yard run by Ivan Vaughn, 7-0.

- Belfry answered with an impressive long drive of their own capped off with a pretty 14 yard TD pass from Browning to Miller, 7-7

- Midland gashes Belfry with a couple nice runs by their 6'2 210 Workhorse Isaiah Duncan, he ultimately cuts back for a short score, 14-7 Knights.

- Ensuing kickoff Devin Varney takes it to the house to tie at 14.

- Midland, after eating most of the start of the 2nd Quarter, ate the majority of the rest of the Quarter with a long drive with multiple big conversions including a 4th Down and a 3rd and 8. Belfry bowed up and forced another 4th and Long and Hunter intercepted the pass.

- Hunter breaks a 67 yard TD run but the refs spot a holding call and negates it, Belfry settles for running out the clock.

 

 

Midland has given Belfry a dose of their own medicine with a huge line and a pair of stud backs.. Belfry has came up with two stops which I am not sure has happened much to this Midland Offense all season.

 

Outside of the Hunter run that was called back, Belfry has struggled to produce explosion plays on Offense but have sustained success on the ground and kept the chains moving.
