They play every year. Do you only schedule them when thy are good? Why does SK play Bryan Station, Meade County and Beechwood but not Cov Cath or Trinity or St. X Cincy? My guess is they need wins for the banquet.

Attaching box score from last year's game between Beechwood and Holy Cross held 9/23/2016. It was a classic. We play because that's what we do.

Who should they play? They already beat corbin, top 3a school, played Cov Cath top 5a school, played Lloyd who is doing well as a 2 a school, somerset who is having a very good year and 6a Simon Kenton. And they also play new Cath. They have quite the schedule for a 1a school.

 

7/10 games are played at Beechwood with 2 close away games and 1 at Somerset. How do you get 7 home games in a year, really...

 

If Beechwood was really good I would like to see them play 10 away games for a season and see what happens...

This thread is becoming laughable. Are people really knocking the Beechwood schedule?

 

Let me bring back a thread from when Beechwood's schedule got out asking if the schedule is "brilliant or brutal":

Beechwood has wins over a top 10 2A school on the road (Somerset), arguably the #1 team in 3A who just beat Mayfield (Corbin), lost to a 5A Cov Cath team that is probably in the top 5 in the entire state and this week they face a top 5 6A school (Simon Kenton). Also opened the season against Lloyd who is on the verge of being in the 2A top ten and end the season against 2A top ten Newport Catholic.

 

Please, let's not waste time and energy questioning having a team on the schedule that has somewhat recently won a state title and was in the final 4 in 2A last year.

Next year beechwood plays Corbin, SK, Cov Cath, holy cross and new Cath on the road as well as 2 district games. So 7 road games at this point. Just how the schedule worked out.

Didn't Holy Cross play all road games last year since Holmes field was being renovated?

They went 10-4 and made Final four I think. So it's possible

Holy cross is just not having a good year this year they are usually a very competitive team with the smaller schools this is the schedule they need

I actually think they used Lloyd's field last year for their home games but I'm not for sure on that.

Over the last few years, Holy Cross has played their home at a mixture of places - Holmes, Scott, Thomas More and Covington Catholic.
