Spot on those were discipline calls. Thought the refs were pretty good. We need to keep our composure better.

 

No problem with any of the calls other than the two pass interference calls on 3rd and long situations. Those were both terrible calls and led to CC scores.

^ I have to go back and watch the film to really see if we were there early. We helped them sustain drives with the PF's also. I like to tell the team to play like the refs don't matter, don't leave a game in doubt where one call or two can cost you the game. Make them nonfactors. We can control the Pf's. The PI's happen.

I said it went both ways. Ryle has good shifty runners. When you change direction there is bound to be holding going on. if refs called everything games would last two hours longer. Again I don't think the refs had anything to do with keeping Campbell in the game. I think good talent did. Ryle controlled both offense and defense lines. That was the key. Campbell made adjustments but by that time coming back from two scores down to a good team is hard.

 

Understood. Camels overhung their linebackers in the 3rd and 4th, but that really wasn't the difference. They had a D lineman blowing up the Center. He was blowing up the center and still making plays on he edge. As far as holding, the only time it will be called is if a lineman grabs outside he shoulder pads and then gets beat by penetration or pressure. That wasn't happening last night. Grabbing inside the shoulder pads and moving laterally coached and taught by HS and College coaches.

I understand how they call holding. To say that it didn't happen in a high school game (At All!) is absurd. I don't blame refs for missing any either. Many times I saw kids getting turned sideways with one hand on front and one on their back. According to your definition a hand outside their shoulder pads is a hold. And if you watch objectively ( which for most it's hard to do) you would see that.

As far as pass interference, both calls players were touched before ball got there. If pass was catchable that might be the argument but they were molested on their routes.

I didn't see a favoriting of the refs either way (objectively). It went both ways. Nice argument but I didn't see it that way

You hit my heart, thanks for setting me straight. Christ gets my first 10%, so I activley gave to relief efforts. Boone county over charges, when you have kids playing multiple sports it adds up. Make is reasonable, and feel free to give your fair share judge.

I'm not saying it doesn't happen in High Scholl. Just didn't happen last Night. How often did The Camels penetrate past the OLine level. On the cuts, Chisholm makes a living with his cuts and vision. Weren't many holding calls over the past 3 years on the OLine during his cutbacks. So either it's legal or the Refs missed them for 3 years. Regarding the pass interference calls, the flags came in too late for them to be called for mugging IMO, but I'm not in the refs huddle to contemplate the flags. If the flag was for mugging as you explained, you'd figure the flag would have been thrown sooner, not after the play finished. Camels benefit from non calls too, missed intentional grounding call when QB hit his lineman in the back. I didn't See a receiver anywhere and he was in the tackle box. Missed a fair catch on a kick off. Ryle lineman had a suspect personal foul call too. All subjective but obviously he flags were against Ryle and missed for the Camels. Calling it due to a lack of discipline seems unfair IMO. In also Partial to the holding accusation since my kid was one of the OL. Papa bear instincts : )

Ryle has a high quality band program and they did a great job. The statues were creepy though. It felt very Lord of the Rings or Game of Thrones.

Please, don't pretend like fans and parents don't complain about refs. How many HS games have you been to? Everyone does it, you gonna deny that you never have?? If you haven't, good for you, not gonna lie, I'm jealous. Yes, I complained. Heck, I'll even admit it. I'm the one that posted it on twitter, but honestly it was in jest. Many BGP'rs know who I am. I don't hide behind my BGP handle. Those that are aware of who I am will probably tell you that I am neither a sore winner or loser. Doesn't make me a jerk for having issues with Refs. Heck, NKY ref told me that the Camels head coach is one of two biggest Ref Complainer out there. Does that make him a sore winner or loser? Its basically human nature when being a fan. I'm guilty, I'll chalk it up as a character flaw : )

The first PI was a bad call DB didnt even touch him. The receiver jumped for the ball came down awkwardly, ref thru the flag. Watched it 4or 5 times.
