I saw the highlights on ESPN. It was a weird site. I thought Larusa blew it when he didn't start Carpenter on Suday.

The only thing was that Carp could have pitched on Monday and beat the Giants and they still would have clinched. It was a gutsy move.

Hopefully Garvey will come out of retirement for the Padres and ruin there life like he's ruined mine...

LaRussa said before the game it was a roll of the dice move. He said they would need Carpenter on Monday if they had to play and if not they would want him to start game 1 in the first round of the playoffs.
