I really do not know for sure but I can't remember it happening. It would make for some great pre game hype and will sell a lot of tickets if it does matchup that way. I certainly hope it ends with OSU beating # 2 Mich.

I don't think that game needs any help selling tickets. But if you have some extra let me know. :D

:thumb: :thumb:  Don't hold your breath Digger. My bet is that the Pettry family in Raceland will be hard to find around that time :sssh: ;) . I think that I heard that they were putting a sign out in their yard here in Raceland that reads "No - I can't get you tickets!!!"

It is to hard for Mr. Pettrey to hide. Besides him being taller than anyone else in the crowd he is a former Marine, and I do not think they hide from anything!! I have to go for now, I have to mow the Pettrey's lawn and wash & wax their car!!:D

Oldrambler,

Love the Avatar. I believe that was at MSU in 1980. I was at that game in Spartan Stadium. That was one week after the huge comeback at home against Illinois. KB ran for a 50 yd plus TD with out one shoe. He looked right into an endzone TV camera and said, "We're Coming Back!" Bucks were down 21 or 28 pts in the first half. One of the greatest FB games I ever witnesses.

KB is one of my all-time favorites and should have won the Heisman, but a miracle pass on national television to knock off the Hurricriminals pulled it out for Doug Flutie.

Go Bucks!

Much like every season, Iowa improves as the year goes on. This game might have been closer had it been played in November. It seemed like the Iowa City atmosphere was more of a pre-game talking point than even the game. Ohio State, by the way, looked very good.

They usually improve because they get to the weaker part of the Big Ten Schedule. Plus, they have rarely had to play UofM, OSU and PSU in the same season.

Perhaps, but I think you would have to agree that most often by the end of the season, Iowa is a Top-20 caliber team.

I will agree with that. I actually like Iowa except for one week each year.

Thanks BN, I happened to see that very game that you are talking about vs. MSU just the other day on "Buckeye Classics" - I also agree with you on Byers should ha done the heisman that year. One of the all time greats in a long list Buckeye backs! I believe my avatar was from anothe rgame though, not sure. The MSU comeback game that I saw a replay of the Bucks were wearing the Red jerseys. Byers did however make a play identical to this pic by diviing into the endzone.
