Who wins this matchup? Russellville is now 2-1 on the season after a dominant performance over Fort Campbell. Logan County is 3-0 on the season.

Pretty fascinating game here actually. Logan County to me is one of the surprise teams in the State. This is a rivalry game. Want to think on it before predicting a winner, but this is great for Logan County as a whole.

Logan County has more wins this year than they've had in several years. I hope there program is on the rise.

Rhea Stadium will be packed for this game.

Logan Co will obviously come in super hyped but I'm sticking with the Panthers to win.

First post should say- after a dominant win over Butler County, Russellville is 2-1.

I think this game will be a fight!! Logan is coming in with something to prove. That that they are the team on the rise. They have speed, and will come up and hit you in the mouth. There defense is the backbone of the team. Can Russellville stop Gary Hardy on offense? Can Logan Control there turnovers?

Russellville wants to prove they are still the team in the county. Mason and Barbor are the backbone of the team. Can Logan Co keep them contained? Barbor will flat run over you and Mason has the speed to hit the edge.

I will take Logan in this game I think they as a team will be more physical. But this game will be a fight from start to finish!!

Welcome aboard Mpb! Glad to have you!

I am going with Logan County n this game as I think they ultimately wear down Russellville. But I agree with Mpb on it being a tough game!

Russellville big.

A bit of a tangent here.

Logan took a hiatus from competing for a playoff spot. They have now re-entered the fray in 4A region 1.

The KHSAA has placed Logan in District 1. This means travel to Hopkinsville, Calloway Co., Madisonville-North Hopkins, and Hopkins County Central. The total round trip travel for these games is 562 miles.

Had Logan been placed in District 2 along with Franklin-Simpson, Allen County, Warren East, and Warren Central the travel would have been 269 miles.

Not a fiscally responsible decision.

I love the resurgence of LC but I need to see them beat a team like Rville to be a believer. Rville by 3 scores.

South Warren was the 5th school in that district that why logan had to go west. In two years when the state realignes everyone Logan very well could be in that district,

This. Logan County has played a really weak schedule.

South Warren was the 5th school in that district that why logan had to go west. In two years when the state realignes everyone Logan very well could be in that district,

Nope.

South Warren moved to 5A for the 2017 season. Logan did not compete for a district title last year.

Logan did not compete for a district title last year.

Incorrect. Logan County finished fifth in Class 4A-District 1 last season, losing to Hopkinsville, Calloway County, Madisonville, and Hopkins County Central, ultimately missing the playoffs. Only three times in school history have they played as an independent - 1984, 1995, and 1996.

South Warren moved this year why not move Logan and save the district 300 miles of unnecessary travel?
