I probably should have saw this before now but learned something last night, Borchers has a method to his madness. The offense was 100% different this game than the first, which was different than the scrimmage. Different players in different positions, some playing and others not.

What does that mean? Well, by week 6-7 the Jaguars will have so many different looks that they will be much harder to predict and prepare for. It also allows players different players to shine and find the diamonds in the rough.

I heard last night that there were a lot of grumbling from some players about playing time. Several think they are stars on field before they have earned it. Borchers definitely is in control and has a plan, so they had better step back and accept the rolls they are given and earn more.

In the mix for winning district. Yes, both Conner and Ryle won, but barely against teams that were not expected to be very good this year.

Yes, Cooper could just win 1-2 games, but based on the first two weeks they could also win a lot more. Boone, Dixie, Conner, Ryle, Henry Clay and even Campbell County are winnable. Each of those teams have shown as many faults as Cooper in these first two weekends of football.

I'd love to see Cooper beat, Ryle, Bo.co., Conner, Dixie & Campbell. The fact remains. 1. Ryle & Conner ranked above Jags. 2. Jags MUST stop 5-6 TO's a game...no team can pull Wins w/ that many TO's. 3. O & D line must play better 4.QB position still up for grabs 5. Middle LB's can't continue to allow 150+ yrds a game up the middle. Yes, Borchers made some key changes, yet still very much a work in progress. If the upperclassmen can't produce...which some are struggling, he's going need to take this year as work in progress & bring up the younger guys & see if they can prove themselves. All in all would like to see Jags end up w/4W's, yet 2 seems way more realistic vs (Bo.Co & Dixie). Again, did see some positive changes, yet TO's still way too many for Jags to be successful!

I might be taking a drive to Claryville later in the week.

I don't know if this is new or I've just missed it all this time but I like that the update threads have been linked to game threads recently. Just wanted to throw that out there.

New, and I agree :thumb:
