RACELAND Raceland’s quick start was enough to outlast a late Lawrence County comeback attempt on Saturday night.

Rams running back Judd Adkins supplied the exclamation point on a season-opening victory with his third rushing touchdown in the final minutes of a 35-19 win.

Raceland found the end zone on its first four possessions to build a sizeable lead, but watched the Bulldogs slowly chip away to cut the margin to nine with three minutes remaining.
