Wofford Football 2017

Featured Replies

Players reported yesterday. There is alot of Kentucky kids on the roster this year. I hope Cameron Racke does well at qb. Alsott from Lafayette is a starting safety this year.

Is Cam Racke still a Terrier?

I don't think so. He is no longer on the roster.

So what is the story here?

Well I was having a conversation at the Beechwood/Cov Cath game about quality quarterbacks coming out of NKY in recent years, and when I mentioned Racke, someone said that he wasn't thrilled with his spot on the depth chart at Wofford and "had left". I hadn't heard anything about it, and neither of the guys who said he'd "left" could confirm for me what exactly that meant, so I figured I'd see if anyone knew what the deal was.

If you don't like your spot on the depth chart, out work the guys in front of you. To me, leaving tells me you were either not willing to put in the time/effort to outwork someone or you have a false sense of your own ability.

These coaches owe you nothing more than a chance.

As a note, meant this for all HS kids headed to college, not a dig at Cam.

Good form, sounds like Cam has other plans as does Wofford! Best wishes to both...how easy was that?

Good luck to SK on their next Wofford interested recruit!!!

This whole notion of kids getting D1 offers is way over blown and much to much is made over it by kids and parents alike. If your objective is to get your education paid for, great. But if your objective is to play, you need to be aware that you most likely won't see any snaps until your junior year, and often will not start until your senior year. And, you will have to work your derriere off to get there.

Most kids in NKy are better off at D2, that is if your primary objective is to play. You will see a ton of D1 talent in D2 because of the desire to play and because of academic issues.
