I assume you're not a Dolphins fan or not too old.

On second thought I would have to add Bob Griese. Take off Clayton or Zach Thomas.

Thanks for mentioning Buoniconti and Kiick, @TAC. I would find a way to put Nick Buoniconti on the top 10 list, along with Griese.

Accomplishing a perfect season with a Super Bowl win is phenomenal. Most of the stories about him today are either about his son's spinal cord injury while playing for the Citadel or Buoniconti's battle with dementia and its relation to playing in the NFL.

Before any of that, he was a phenomenal linebacker and leader of the "No Name" defense in Miami. He played in 3 consecutive Super Bowls with two wins. He is deserving of mention on the top 10 list.

I wanted to put Nick in. But thought I was too heavy with the 70's. Kiick was a great player but not top ten great. Morris took them to another level and Kiick became a specialist back.

Hatz, I defer to your knowledge on the Dolphins, to be sure, but as a long-time NFL fan, I ask for two considerations:

1. Dan Marino HAS to be #1. Larry Csonka is special to Fins Fans, I get it, but come on.

2. No AJ Duhe? Shocking.

I really wasn't ranking them just trying to keep up with the number 10. :lol2:

A.J. Duhe I forgot about and it's hard to believe. With all he did in the early 80's and how versatile he was. He single handily (so it seemed) beat Todd and the Jets in the AFC Title in '82. I would put him in ahead of Zach Thomas.

And the more I think about it the more I think Bunocotti is in over Clayton. His star burned bright for 5 years but Nick was the late 60's and 70's for the Fins.

I like to play Larry Csonka videos for my son who plays FB (and LB). One tough SOG.

My favorite is Don Shula telling how Csonka got a flag for Unnecessary roughness when running the ball. Shula couldn't believe it.

I said Bob Griese.

Jim Langer, Larry Little, Bob Kuechenberg, Nick Bonocotti are also Hall of Famers from the 70's teams.
