I was just wondering about the new way the playoffs are set up this year. I know that the first two rounds will be within a teams own district, what I want to know is if the regional playoff/title game will be with the same district teams have played before? Example, will the district that includes Raceland,LCA,Fairview,Paris, etc. be playing the NKY district with Beechwood, NCC,etc..? I wasn't sure on how this was set up this season. Thank You for any answers.

The Class A draw is no different than it has been in recent years ... 1 vs. 2, 3 vs. 4, etc.

Yeah, but it looks like a lot of teams are going to be playing each other back to back or close to each other, I don't like it personally. Mayfield playing Murray and then turning around and having to play them again cause we don't go out of the district, is that going to happen?

I don't like that change at all. I enjoy watching teams play the teams from the other district in the playoffs. Rematches in the postseason aren't a bad thing, but at least both teams had to win to create them under the old system.

That scenerio could happen in almost if not all districts in the first 2 rounds.

I agree 100% (that's twice in two days, lol).

Why replay the district? It won't seem like the playoffs playing your district rivals again the first two weeks. Playing the other district, especially in East Ky., where they are pretty far apart, made it a big deal. Now that's out the window. Bad move...

I'm not psyched about the thought of Bardstown having to play Holy Cross and/or Bethlehem again a second time.

Yeah I hate the new playoff format. I know up here in NKY its not fair to the teams in the district, because its like like congrats you made the playoffs now you get to play either NCC or Beechwood again and your season will be over. Atleast in the old system you got to play some other team, and get to really feel what it is like to be in the playoffs.
