What does Pulaski County need to do to improve in 2017? What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive.

Pulaski is kind of a wild card.

 

They were State Runner-Ups.. but also came a hair away from losing in Round 1.

 

Jake Johnson's role to last year's team was huge.

 

With that said, Hines gets Year 2 with WIley Cain at QB and they have plenty of young talent.

 

Wouldnt be surprised to see them in the State Finals, wouldn't be surprised to see them out in Round 2.

That was a very special group of kids that just graduated. Four state finals!! I wouldn't be surprised if they had a pretty good year but that is a ton of talent that left the building. Some very big shoes to fill even without filling Jake Johnson's, including most of the offensive line. Think the young WR Sloan will be very good.

I've heard Danny Butt is playing football and if so he will help out the team a lot IMO.

I tell you what Pulaski County's 4 year run was Very impressive. Now they were not the second best team in 5A last year IMO, but you run the road your given. They played BG as tough a game as they could until Johnson got hurt and that was it. But people forget about Maxey, Mobley and New - extremely good football players who basically played varsity for 3.5 years.

 

Cross-Bracketing has been kind to the Maroons of late and I still dont see a team over there they can not beat. Whitley County and Harlan County will be improved, but they won't scare the Maroons. Southwestern should have beaten them several times but they didn't. I wouldn't say it's likely they beat the Maroons in the playoffs this year either. Will be fun to watch from the left bank of the state.

North Laurel is the team that has caught my eye as a sleeper in the East.

 

They return basically every key player.

 

As you mentioned I expect Whitley and Harlan County to be tough, and Southwestern may very well be the favorite in that Region with what they return.
