September 15, 20179 yr A fellow BGPer saw Van the man in concert last night. I saw him in San Francisco over 20 years ago, and in Atlanta last year. He is a fantastic, soulful live performer. I pulled The Last Waltz out of its DVD case for the first time, in too long a time. My favorite vocalist, with maybe my favorite group, in what may be the best concert movie ever made. "Caravan" - Van Morrison, with The Band, from The Last Waltz Here's a jazzier version, with his Caledonia Soul Orchestra. I think It's Too Late to Stop Now is still his best live recording.
