Summer 2017 Concerts--- What Are You Thinking About Attending?

Featured Replies

Rockmom has shared with us her great experience at the U2 show. What are some shows you are thinking about this summer? I usually try to take in a couple shows while school is out and the weather is warm. I look for outdoor venues and retro rock shows. I have to feed my need for seventies and eighties music.

I'm thinking about taking the the Replay America show featuring five acts --- The Motels(feat. Martha Davis), Billy Ocean , Naked Eyes, Taylor Dane , and Starship(feat. Mickey Thomas).

Any other ideas?

I saw the U2 show as well.

I've got the following on deck thus far to round out the year:

Incubus/Jimmy Eat World - Lakewood Ampitheatre @ Atlanta, GA 07/08/2017

Metallica/Avenged Sevenfold/Volbeat - Suntrust Park @ Atlanta, GA 07/09/2017

Graham Nash - Lexington Opera House @ Lexington, KY 08/01/2017

Drive-By Truckers - The Forum @ Hazard, KY 09/24/2017

Gov't Mule - Mountain Arts Center @ Prestonsburg, KY 10/09/2017

Foo Fighters - Rupp Arena @ Lexington, KY 10/21/2017

Surprised the wife with tickets to see The Weeknd in South Carolina the weekend of 10/28 but she says we can't go so I have to sell those tickets. Apparently she has something huge planned for me that can't be cancelled. So I'll keep you all posted on that.

Tickets purchased for Sublime, Bob Seger and Van Morrison to close out the summer.

This one really intrigues me, and the Opera House is gorgeous. Have never seen Nash live (or CS&N for that matter). Sounds like you're in for a classy legendary show. :thumb:

Love Cronin and the boys. I was watching a Reds' game one night several years ago and Kevin Cronin(yep, REO's guy) was the one chosen for the Toyota Tundra giveaway. I'm thinking Kevin may be a Reds' fan. I believe he's from Champaign, IL. Btw, he didn't win the Tundra.

Night Ranger NEVER disappoints! Jack Blades, Brad Gillis, & Kelly Keagy are in their early to mid 60's and can still sing and play like the were in their 20's.......true musicians.
