I see this being a transition year but also know that the coaching staff will do a great job bringing that defense along. A lot of those younger guys got a lot of snaps last season.

The offense is loaded with Seniors. The defense should be overall faster to the ball.

Look back, the last 3 times SK has had a Sophomore loaded defense...............

SK will only return 3 starters on defense but I think they will have more team speed this year. Jr. DT JJ Courtney 5'9 230 pounds returning starter, Jr. DT Treyvon Nash 5'11 224 pounds and So. NT Vuk Sajlovic 6'1 227 will start on the dline. SK has alot of depth at LBer. Jr. Byson Pernell 6'0 190 pounds, Jr. Clay Clogswell 5'9 170 pounds will probably be the top 2 middle linebackers. Jr. Alec Kaiser 5'10 160 pounds and Sr. Justin Sabie 6'1 165 pounds should start on the oitside. Sr. SS Jaren Cooper 6'1 190 pounds will be all over the field on defense along with Sr. DB Brayden Trattles 5'10 155 pounds both are ball hawks.

How much playing time did Bryson Pernell have last year?

I respect Jeff and his staff immensely, but that is scary. How many times did the 2016 team give up 40 or more? Too many times. Maybe the Birds and Pioneers go for a combined score of 200 this year!

Gave up 40 points twice Lafayette and Highlands. Not making excuses but I know Kincaid played with a cast on his hand most the season.
