Another fun fact. Apparently 45% of all beer that Rhinegeist produces is Truth.

The list made me realize I haven't had a Nellie’s Key Lime from Taft's Ale House in way too long.

Want a special variation of it? Ask them to mix the Nellie's Key Lime and their Coconut Brown/Porter. They did it once for my wife and she loved it.

That sounds so good, thanks for the tip!

I know Rhinegeist Truth is really popular, and I do like it...but I just don't really get the big deal that some folks make out of it.

Its just a great IPA that you can get whenever you want.

Things of note:

Rhinegeist produces 4,125,000 Truths (12 ounces) if my math is accurate.

I don't think Listermann's is accurate and maybe more of a PR move to show off a new beer.

I think it's actually 8,000,000/12 ounce servings. 320/12 oz. cans per barrel multiplied by 25,000. I knew they outproduced Pschopothy but didn't realize it was 3:1. They have expanded their distribution.

Ahhh yes. I was figuring it on a half barrel. So I short changed them big time haha!

It makes sense though that they would do that much more than Psychopothy though. Rhinegeist is now in Massachuesetts and Pennyslvania, plus all of Northern Ohio. In comparison just now announced yesterday that they are going to Lexington and Louisville. I'd imagine with their new facility, they'll start producing quite a bit more.

One of the co-founders of Taft Ale House has left to start his own consulting company. He will help wannabe or existing brewers start and/or manage their brewing business.

Rhinegeist's marketing folks need a big high five. They do make some decent beer but my long-time assertion is that almost all of their beer is over-hyped.

They are definitely a marketing machine.
