Difference in MLB and NFL fans at games.

Featured Replies

College fans can be a bit obnoxious, too. I've been lucky to this point, though with Mrs. S on her mobility device people tend leave us alone. We've had our moments though. I've had friends who refuse to return to UCF or West Virginia due to the abuse they where subjected to.

I think it's more a Bengals fan thing, than an NFL fan thing.

Almost every Bengals game I've went to, I've seen some sort of altercation (usually Bengals fan vs Bengals fan).

Been to a Pats/Titans game in Nashville and the Titans fans were incredibly nice.

Went to the Bengals/Pats game in New England last season and there were a handful of Bengals fans in our section. Everyone got along great and most were ribbing them in fun and they were giving it right back. There were some super obnoxious Pats fans (grandmas ironically) but they were just annoying towards the game, not fans.

It is definitely not a Bengals fan thing. I've been to road games in Seattle, NY, Pittsburgh, St Louis and San Francisco where I was treated awful. The only places where I was not were San Diego, Charlotte and Chicago. I think that is only because their teams were awful at the time.

I'm just going off my experiences.

Not surprising about all the bad experiences except for St. Louis. The other places are notorious for having horrible fans.

I'm interested to see how St. Louis fans are in baseball to opposing team fans. I'll find out in September.

I've been to the Old Busch and the current one. Both good experiences

I've seen issues at every stadium, and Cincinnati is no worse or better. I've been to New York, Washington, Cleveland, Detroit, and Tennessee and have seen knuckleheads at all of them. I was an Eagles season ticket holder for 5 years, and despite Philly's reputation (which, don't get me wrong, there are issues at times), it's fans aren't really any worse than any other teams fans. The one game I've been to where I didn't see any foolishness was in Indy.

The difference is MLB fans are halfway asleep by the top of the 3rd.
