April 19, 20179 yr Brings up a related issue. How soon will technology be able to accurately call balls and strikes? Should already be happening. Umpires are not necessary. This old school guy hope it never happens. Don't want to take any human element out of the game. MLB just need to grow some stones and deal with really bad umps.
April 20, 20179 yr He did it again last night! Umpire C.B. Bucknor blows another call It's pretty bad when the first base umpire overrules you on a play in left field. If I'm another umpire, I say we gotta get rid of this guy...we're going to take a big hit at the next contract negotiations because of these calls.
