Chinese response to Syrian strike

It helps understand their mindset and viewpoints. It helps understand how things operate in China. For example, I found it interesting that their president almost never speaks to media./

I thought the same thing. To be honest, I would expect Russia to retaliate if we attacked Syria more than I would China if we attacked N. Korea. The Chinese know that Kim is an idiot and I really doubt they would get into a war with us over him. The Chinese are also less likely to get into a nuclear war with us as they have a lot more to lose than Russia does. I really don't see China as the threat that a lot of people think they are unless their economy starts to crumble and they get desperate.

The one difference between North Korea and Syria that isn't being mentioned is "border." North Korea borders China. Syria does not border Russia.

There is an old history between China and Korea and the US. I don't think they would like the notion that a reunified Korea, or even cooperative North Korea is all that stands between them and South Korea (US military).

Just a thought.

The key is keeping Russia and China split. If they believe we are too aggressive and rise above their grievances to align.

Welp...it's been a good run, Earth.

I think that rift between those two is impossible to heal. Too deep and too much history.
