April 6, 20179 yr We had a good bit of hail in certain parts of Bardstown and especially in areas west and north of town. Several houses damaged. Olde Delaney's on Louisville Road is all pock-marked up from the hail. We looked across Main St. in Bardstown after it rolled through and the hail melted, and we saw where the hail had battered some of the old downtown buildings so hard the sidewalk was covered with paint chips.

Before you know it the town will be bombarded by out of town roofers coming in to handle the insurance claims. A couple of years ago a big hail storm hit Ashland and I couldn't even imagine how many houses in the area received new siding, roofs, etc from the insurance claims. Within a week the area was full of roofing companies from all over the country. They set up offices in town and claimed that they are local (which wasn't a lie since they rented an office) but once the work was done guess what, they gone. If you or anyone you know has any damage that warrants an insurance claim, I'd recommend going with a company that you KNOW is local.

April 6, 20179 yr Author Thanks for all you do to help us all prepare and stay safe! Thanks for the compliments. I'm kind of mentally drained from yesterday. Just need a break from it for a little while. Don't worry. I'll still keep my eye to the sky.
