March 26, 20179 yr With everything that has happened this year off the court, then for one of the best teams Self has had at KU fail to make the Final Four again. They lose their two best players from this year. Their recruiting class for next year is ranked 35th in the country. What do you expect the immediate future of Kansas basketball to look like? Folks in Lawrence have to be waking up today with a huge headache. Are they calling for Self to be fired? Do KU fans look at Bill Self for what he really is, which is the second best coach in the state?
March 26, 20179 yr No way do I think they are calling for Selfs job. Just shows how tough it is to win it.
March 26, 20179 yr They win their conference and have a shot at the Final Four every season. Bill Self is doing a great job. He does need to clean up the off the court stuff, but basketballwise...they are great.

Do KU fans look at Bill Self for what he really is, which is the second best coach in the state? No. At the end of the day he is still more successful as Kansas coach than the coach before him was by the name of Roy Williams. Roy Williams failed even more at Kansas with even better teams. Self has at least gotten them a championshp. Something Roy Williams failed to do while at Kansas for many years.
