The WBC, mainly the Latin teams, has caused me to change my long-held opinion on how a player handles himself on the field. I was the guy who thought Bautista's famous bat flip crossed the line. I never liked pitchers being too celebratory after a big K. While I fully got all of the arguments made each time these things happened I just thought it crossed the line.

 

In watching the Latin teams (and their fans) in the WBC I've softened that stance. Maybe it's because they ALL do it but I admit it's added a bit of fun to it.

 

Never too old to change.

I like some of it but it can go to far.

I'm even watching tonight and I HATE baseball. MLB should take some notes and put fun back into their product.

It seems like the Latin players never react to this, but the American players almost always want to fight about it. I think the American players would benefit themselves, the game, the fans, and anyone or anything involved with baseball if they'd lighten up by about 95%.

Seriously? They're some of the biggest hot heads in baseball. Do you remember watching players like Pedro Martinez and Mario Soto pitch? Some of the shortest fuses you'd ever see.

And there's still some drama. Awesome
