March 11, 20179 yr Vermont(29-5, 16-0 Am. East) took their first lead of the 2nd half with about 1:07 left in the game and then they held on to win the American East tourney and a ticket to the big dance. For the game the Catamounts made just 33.3% of their shots. They did connect on 75% of their free throws. Leading the team in victory was, Junior Payton Henson/Siloam Springs, AR with 17 points. Freshman Anthony Lamb/Rochester, NY had 12 points and 10 boards. Albany Great Danes(21-13, 10-6 Conf) was led by Travis Charles/Brooklyn, NY 16 points and 4 rebounds.
March 11, 20179 yr Why in the sam hill with just 0.09 left in the game and up my 4 do you even try to guard the other team? Just let them make the trey and stay completely out of the way so not to get a foul called on you. Just not smart basketball IMHO. Very luck that Vermont didn't cause this game to go into OT.

I was screaming the same thing. In the final 20 seconds, Vermont was practically trying to let Albany tie it.
March 11, 20179 yr Author Vermont played poorly especially the last thirty seconds or so. I am just glad they found a way to post the win.

March 11, 20179 yr I don't have a dog in the fight but calling Vermont "Vermon" in the thead title seems harsh to me.
