Lawnboy13
Not the best performance by the Dawgs, but it was enough to advance. Grayson Co. gave a great effort, but like all the games today for the losing team......TURNOVERS!!!!

frankdracman23
Holmes is a difficult team to play. They speed you up on defense, then slow way down on offense. They got in foul trouble in the first half and that led to holding the ball and the 17-14 lead. You keep thinking they will get tired or in foul trouble but then they play a third quarter where they dominate. Unique game in that all 5 Holmes girls and entire Grayson Co team can handle the basketball as well as can be expected in a high school game. No real weak links on either team. Grayson Co would not go away and was in it until they had to start fouling. Nice fan support for Grayson Co. Holmes had more than they usually do so it made for a good atmosphere. allsport71
Hats off to Grayson, what a gutty effort and wow, what fan support. Holmes just seemed off tonight, not your normal game for Stoval or Engelman. Holmes had a nice student section and alumni support. Congrats to the ladies from Holmes, going to have to step it up a notch tomorrow.

letabrotherspeak
Grayson County brought a bunch of fans for their first trip to the Sweet 16. Grayson was a scrappy bunch that played pretty solid defense and moved the ball on offense. Stovall picked up two fouls in the first half and they are a different team when she is not on the floor. Holmes used a terrific run to start the third quarter to get a nice cushion. They needed it because they went on about a 6 minute scoring drought from the end of the first quarter through the second quarter.
