I'm assuming he's saying that because its a local guy who has been a head coach and had a winning season, so kind of a known commodity.

Bracken County was 13-80 all-time before he arrived. Took over what was a bottom 5 football program in the state of Kentucky and has had success there.

 

Bracken County didn't know if they were going to have a team the year he arrived.

 

You're not going to find anybody that's done more with less.

How many coaches and/or their wives who don't have ties to the community or area (or any small rural county for that matter) say, "Hey. Let's go live in Manchester."

He has a passion for the game and is able to adapt to the team he has. As has been stated he came to a very down Bracken Co program and with hard work has been competitive. He has head coach experience along with success, I don't know what more Clay could ask for.

What are the issues at Clay other than stability? It wasn't too far in the past that they were competitive.

Poverty (poorest county in the state, and one of the poorest in the entire country) and drugs (prescription in particular) are both rampant.
