I made the observation during the Obama administration that his abuse of power was setting a horrible precedent. Any time that a president and his administration gets away with dodging accountability by destroying evidence that was under Congressional subpoena, it should be a great concern to ALL Americans, regardless of their political affiliation. Now the same people who defended Obama's abuse of power for 8 years, present company included, are calling for accountability for the Trump administration. I just cannot understand how people do this and look themselves in the mirror every morning. What I said about holding the executive branch accountable was a valid point, but it belonged in another thread. As for holding the legislative branch accountable in town hall events, do you have any idea why Democratic House and Senate members in districts won by Trump are avoiding town hall events like the plague? The organized effort to disrupt Republican town hall meetings while Democrats avoid town hall meetings is a very cynical, dishonest strategy. All voters should have an opportunity to voice their concerns to their elected representatives. Paid protesters should be shown the door whenever they are discovered.

It was more believable because they were not protesting in deep blue areas. Plus in my lifetime that is the only time outside of pro life events the right protested. The left protests so much it has lost all meaning. After a McConnell townhall protest in NKY am I suppose to believe he would now lose the vote to a democrat lol.

My two reps have town halls on a regular basis and started before all the protests. They talk about this stuff. Thats why they will win again. I have their cell phones numbers. They are accessible. They will get my vote and they are more to the right than I am in real life.
