First, Dayton's 6 Seniors (1 injured) played hard as they have all season and maybe the ball did not bounce their way, but they had a nice run at Dayton and won some games along the way. They will be missed next year.

NCC got a nice balanced scoring game. Still don't know if they have found the best rotation yet but it is the deepest team they had in years. Guess we will see about how good they turn out.

It appears the rotation won't include 2 of the bigs at the same time. Would be interesting to see it.

Missed the 1st quarter so I don't know how many he had, but during the 2nd & 3rd quarter (and he didn't play in the 4th) Patrick Henschen had 8 blocks, young man got some serious hops.

Dayton still without a regional berth since 1970, the longest drought in the state.

This closes the book on the high school career of Sam Brewer, who started out at Brossart, and then gravitated to Dayton.

I've followed his career from afar and, while he shed the disciplined style of play learned at Brossart and adopted a more wide-open approach to the game with the Greendevils, always gave 100% and was a hard-knocking player.
