2017 Jack Kaelin NKY Freshman Invitational Tourney

Featured Replies

Funny, I didn't see a lot of frosh teams play this year, but just from this thread I can't figure out how Dixie can only lose 2 games all year and not be even considered as one of the top three teams... if nothing else, this discussion should lead everyone firmly to the conclusion you could not seed this tournament. No one would be happy being the 4, for example, having to play CovCath in the semis.

Indeed the JV Championship game will be played prior to the Jack Kaelin Championship game. That game pits CovCath JV vs. Dixie JV with the jump ball at 6 pm.

Thanks OG. Sets up some interesting possibilities, and not just that it is Dixie v. CovCath for the frosh AND JV titles, but it could easily wind up that way in the Varsity tourney as well, especially if CovCath and Cooper draw on the same side of the bracket in the varsity regional.

Beechwood beat Dixie twice this year.. I'm pretty sure Dixie has lost more than two games.. Lol

This problem with "fake news" has gotten worse than I thought!

JV game just finishing up. Start time for CovCath-Dixie championship will be pushed back a little.

CovCath up 18 - 5 at the end of the 1st.

32 - 14 CovCath at the half.

They lost to Beechwood twice and Cov Cath once. I guess people meant they lost to 2 teams.

Dixie is definitly a top 3 or 4 Frosh team in NKY, Cov Cath is just VERY good, at all levels really.

50 - 21 at the end of 3, CovCath up.

Thank you to all the Parents, Fans and Students who attended these games. The players left it all on the floor either in winning or losing and that is all you can ask of them and their Coaches.

Until next year.......Theoldguy needs some rest and sometime with The Boss! :-)

That's two down.... One big one left for CovCath to capture the triple crown
