Garrard rushed out to a big early lead and then eased to a victory. Danville was never closer than 9 points in the second half.

 

Justin Preston led the Lions with 17, Parker Dailey 14, Trevor Jones 13, and Brandon Pingleton 11.

 

Lincoln County has already clinched the #1 seed in the district but with the win Garrard (1-4) moves into basically a tie with Danville (1-3) for the 3 seed. Both the Lions and Ads have home games remaining with Lincoln while Danville also has a home game with Boyle. Whichever teams falls into the 4 slot has to play 5-seed KSD on opening night of the tournament.

Garrard seems to be trending up under Coach Young.

Garrard County is the team no one wants to play right now. Ryan Young is doing a hell of a job in a short amount of time. Better get your licks in now. I hope that Young stays at Garrard County for a long long time but if Garrard County continues to improve at the pace they are improving then he won't be there long either.
