The other option would require Kennedy's complicity, and nothing about him says he'd do that. I suppose I wouldn't put it by Trump and co. to announce one of them will be next nominee once a vacancy opens. But that's nothing more than a publicity stunt (and now I'm talking myself into it.)

The opportunity to sit on the bench is enough compulsion to go along with it. But who knows? I've been wrong plenty before. :lol2:
