L.C.A. was well prepared for this game and deserved the win. Coach Raines did an excellent job. Raceland never could get a passing attack going at all. Sounded like both defenses played well. Raceland had missed oppurtunities all night it seemed - blew a chance for a TD with little time left in the first half on 1st and goal at the LCA 4yd. line. One bright note for Raceland, it sounded like B. Denton had an excellent game on the ground and that B. Mullins and C. Thompson had good games. I will wait for someone who was at this one to fill us in more.

Raceland never got it going. They score on a punt return and get a FG after having the ball at the 1 yard line. LCA's speed shut down the receivers and the passing game. Raceland kept trying long pass plays. Grizzle threw 2 Int's and should of had at least 2 more. LCA has a nice group of skill players. The QB ,RB (#30) and the WR (#3) are all going to be special. Rams had better figure out how to do something on offense besides dropping back and hoping for a bomb. The offense hasn't scored a TD since the first quarter of the Greenup game.

This could be the best thing that happened to this team. Now that the loss is behind you and we know you can be beat. Ashland, Russell, Raceland, all with a loss. Now they know how it feels and don't like it. I think we are going to see big things out of these three teams. Raceland will bounce back from this and win baby win. Good luck.

I must say that I was more worried about this LCA game tonight than ANY on the Rams schedule. With this one tonight imo it puts us with an uphill climb again fro the district title and a home playoff spot. Also, Bath Co. beat Fairview tonight. LCA and Bath are in the drivers seat early in our district. 5 district games to go though and anything can happen. Rams players we have no choice but to shake this one off and get your heads up. Can't afford to lose another one and I think that we can run the table the rest of the way IF you stay focused. Rams should have won this one tonight but nothing we can do about it now. I along with everyone else am still with you and still believe in these Rams. Lets go get em' the rest of the season.

My heritage, from the Ben Pumphrey lineage!

Our little Freshmen, qb-witt & rb-hatden did an awesome job!

the qb - his 1st start ever at varsity - controlled the game wiwth scrambling and passing decisions!

he was 12-22 for 231 yds and 2 td & 2 ints

our defense was the difference!

#3 for raceland has some jets for feet!

Big Win for LCA...Congrats to Rains and his team.

Nice win for LCA. Congrats on a great effort !! The young Freshman QB showed a lot of poise and played a whale of a game. If there were any doubts about him those were answered tonight. Great job young man:thumb: tonight you grew up!! As statmaster stated Hayden and # 3 are going to be special football players.

Great effort by Brett Denton & Benji Mullins on both sides of the ball along with another solid performance on defense by Clinton Thompson. Beach also had another great return for TD.

More hard work begins on Monday!! Keep working hard and put this game behind you.Good luck next week.

On a bright note, I had the pleasure of meeting EagleEye. Great guy but I am sorry we were such a good host!!(LOL) Thanks for the kind words about my son.

I seen the fire trucks heading out of the stadium at Raceland. Were they getting in front of LCA's bus to escort them out of town? I had to get that one in. There just doesn't seem to be as many Raceland posters on here. There was allot more post after the last few games. I bet the kids played just as hard for this game as they did the past 4. I respect oldrambler and cvillecat for getting on here like they always do. The Rams will be fine in the weeks to come. You never know the may get their chance to see this team again.

Great Bloodline!! Your little Freshman QB became a big man tonight. He was very impressive in his handling of the offense. He will be special. My hats off to the young man & your Eagles. It was also a pleasure meeting you. Hope to see you again come playoff time!!!!!

I want to say right now that I think that EagleEye and Bluto really are related to Ben Pumphrey!!!! LOL. Don't you think so cville??

The Rams fans will arrive shortly. The coaches post game talk went two overtimes so some are still at the fieldhouse, I caught some of the players before coach arrived. Pretty dishearted group of kids. They will be ok tomorrow and Monday begins a new week. They just have to put this loss behind them and work a little extra and I know that this group of young men will do what it takes.

First of all, lets PLEASE not bring up the fire truck thing again:eek:  . I think by now that falls in the category of beating a dead horse.:D Next thing, Thank you for your kind words. Once a Rambler always a Rambler through good and bad is the way I see it, no such thing as a fair weather fan as far as I am concerned. I think that Raceland should have won this game but the better team on this night won and they deserve credit.

If they are they should be proud ,as Pumphrey was a great coach & person.Hate to see Bluto miss the game. His young QB put on quite a show.
