Guy can recruit and he has Cleveland to recruit from. He brought talent to Mount Saint Joe and then took TMC to a new level. He has great GCL contacts. Will GCL talent follow him North??? But he will get players. Now, keeping the best from Alliance is an entirely different beast.

Wow. Good for Jim, I worked for his wife at the Rec center at NKU and really got to know Jim and the family because of that. Amazing family in my opinion and happy for the success that Jim has had.

 

So now two of the top division 2 coaches have stepped away as coaches in Rob Stoll at Turpin and Jim at Lasalle.

You see head coaches from high school powers make the jump to big time college ball way more often that D3 head coaches. I would agree that this is a step down career wise, if being a big time college coach is his goal.

New coach is Pat McLaughlin, coming from the head coaching position at Princeton HS. '96 Moeller grad.

 

Was head coach at Reading in '14 (4-6) and '15 (9-2). '15 was the team's first winning season in 5 years. Similarly, in his first year at Princeton, McLaughlin led the Vikings to their first winning season in 5 years with a 6-4.
