Final in Double OT

This one had everything, including cheerleaders fighting and bosses threatening jobs.

And we want to cheapen the district games by letting everyone in.

I wasn't there in person but I'm sure someone who was will fill us in. I know I was contacted by several people about the fight, including one of the mothers. I was told James and Russell both were in the neighborhood of 40 points.

Must have been a defensive struggle between these two teams. 197 points scored.

So cheerleaders fighting and bosses making threats enriches the district? I would think those things cheapens the district.

You need to go watch one of the games before you give an opinion.

For the record, this is second hand as I was not there, but it sounded like a great game. This is what I was told however.

Magoffin led by 20 late in the 4th quarter and Dylan James got crazy hot and brought them all the way back to tie it. In fact, Magoffin lead by double digits most of the game. Magoffin had a chance in regulation but failed to convert. First OT was back and forth with both teams having a chance to win it. Second overtime saw Jaren Lovely hit a game winning layup with just over 1s left.

After the game the cheerleaders got into it with punches being thrown. This spilled over a bit but it with some getting escorted out and threats flying both ways. Most likely "heat of the moment" reactions in a very tough district.

The 57th is never dull, especially this season.
