Minnesota 91 Purdue 82 0T

Featured Replies

Minnesota hit their first 8 shots(I believe) and jumped out to a double digit lead, only to see Purdue come back not only to tie it, but take the lead. Te Gophers built another double lead, only to see the process repeat itself.

Purdue tied it up at 73, with 4.9 left. Minnesota just missed a game winner at the buzzard.

Jordan Murphy(SAN ANTONIO, TX) had 16 for Minnesota before fouling out late in regulation. Another Gopher,Bakary Konate(Bamako, Mali) fouled out in regulation He was scoreless but did have 3 rebounds.

Minnesota minus both of their top big men dominated the overtime session. First time since 2005 Minnesota won at Purdue.

Leading the Gophers with a career high 31 was Nate Mason(Decatur, GA) 18 above his season average.

For Purdue leading the way with 28 was Caleb Swanigan(Fort Wayne, Ind) He also grabbed 22 rebounds.

Bad loss at home for the Boilers.

Guy is constantly putting up solid numbers, at least it seems like it every time I see the bottom line.

Wasn't he a big time UK recruit at one point?

Bad loss at home for the Boilers.

We'll see. Minnesota is 13-2 and their only losses are on the road at a really solid Florida State and a one-point OT loss to Michigan State.

This is a tournament team.

Sure was disappointed in the result...especially with Minnesota's two big guys out...but didn't realize the Gophers had been playing that well this year.

While fair that they have only two solid losses, this was their 1st quality win. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see them follow this up with a loss in Evanston.

Too early to pencil them into the final bracket, but for sure, this win helps that cause a great deal. Purdue is very good. This is the kind of win that separates The U from other bubble teams if they are on it in early March.
