Bengals lead 7 - 3 near end of the first quarter.

Whoever the color analyst is on the broadcast should be fired on the spot. He is saying Dre Kirkpatrick is one of the top 10 CB's in the NFL.

Big game for Lafell.

From Adam Schefter

Bengals WR Brandon Lafell needs 3 catches today to earn a $300,000 incentive for 60 catches; needs five yards to earn a $200,000 incentive.

Has the yards, needs one more catch.

Well, he caught about a 15 yard pass already so he pockets that one.

14-3 Bengals on a TD pass to Uzomah. Uzomah has looked good playing for Eifert over the past few weeks.

First TD was on a Burkhead run. Burkhead also has played very well since getting more PT due to injuries to Gio and Hill.

Dalton perfect on the day so far. I am waiting for his first incompletion and Hellbird's entry into the thread.

He probably is. We just see all his faults with every game.

Just to follow up on my opening post. I checked Pro Football Focus and as of week 12 Dre was not ranked in the top 25 corners in the NFL. And today's color guy is claiming Dre is top 10.

Also, as of week 7, PFF had the Bengals secondary ranked #29 in the NFL.

Bengals show once again why they have the worst clock management in the NFL two unneeded timeouts earlier in the half and then don't have a chance to get another TD before the half.

Terrible play by Boyd staying in bounds. Do they not talk in the huddle about having no timeouts and the need to get out of bounds? Even if they didn't, Boyd should have enough football sense to know to get out of bounds.

Excellent job by Dalton (and Burkhead) recognizing the formation was wrong on the spike play, which would have resulted in a penalty and I believe a 10 second runoff that would have ended the half with no field goal.

By the way, Lafell now has 5 catches so he has reached both bonuses mentioned above.

Agree totally with what you said but if they had not burned two timeouts earlier in the half they could have called a timeout and had maybe 2 more tries for the endzone before having to kick a FG. Just try to think back to a game where the Bengals go into the last 2 or 3 minutes of either the 2nd or 4th quarters with all 3 of their timeouts in tact it is very rare.

Agreed. I believe it happened last week and I was shocked to see the Bengals with 3 timeouts left at the end of a half.

Yea I'll bet by the end of the day that would a possible 32 times this season they would have had all 3 of their timeouts less than 10 times because of silly challenges or defensive timeouts or not getting a play called soon enough.
