Trump praises Putin

So, by "compromise" you mean "capitulation", right? Because you are well documented in your belief that no one but Republicans have any potential to be "right".

Alot of people can be right, from both parties. The hypocrisy of the left during this past election sickens me.

And no I mean compromise and common sense.

The left has basically become a socialist mentality and with that I will never support.

Sure, if Russia feels like that they are justified, kick out our diplomats. They aren't; we all know that.

This world has turned on its head. :jump:

The reason they never kicked out our diplomats was to make Obama look bad. Which they done. But he never needed any help in that department.

I guess you don't buy the whole Russian hacking story?

Or you support it...

I dont know if its true or not. If we have solid proof they did it then I believe it, and I have not read yet the details. I do not support any country hacking us.

I am glad the info came out though, at least everyone knows what they are dealing with.

Don't support hacking, period.

Russia didn't make Hillary ignore the working class in America due to her disdain for them. Her elitist mentality, along with a large majority of the Left thinking like her, lost the election.

Does Russia want a friendly relationship with our country? Our foreign policies are polar opposites.

Please educate me on Russia's foriegn policy goals. I really don't know what they are and you seem to be in the know. So please share. I did hear Putin say that Russia and the Usa are the would leaders that should be working to stabilize peace but instead this US administration has destabilized the world and set it on fire.

This administration has done exactly that. Saw a tweet while ago that made a lot of sense:

Obama acting tough at this point is like an athlete finally trash talking out the team bus window as it leaves the stadium parking lot.

After he lost the game...

I seriously can't be worked up about this. He's still just the president elect. Until the day he walks out on that stage, places his hand on a copy of Atlas Shrugged and pledges allegiance to Mammon, he's still just some dude on Twitter.

See you on the 20th.

Now what's wrong with Atlas Shrugged? :lol2:

I agree with this, Putin is playing on a different level than our current leaders. Sadly I don't think that Trump is up to the game myself. He may be a great businessman and entertainer, but dealing with Ex-KGB Putin is a different animal.

Frankly Hillary wasn't up to the task either. In fact I am not sure if we have had someone ready for it since McCain, which seriously concerns me going forward. Putin has been quoted as saying that the dissolution of the USSR was the "greatest geopolitical tragedy of the 20th century," we need someone who can deal with someone with that mentality.

I am not entirely sure who we need for that role, and I feel that the short sighted mentality of far too many Americans means that we won't be ready when we need to be. We botched Georgia, Crimea, and the Ukraine. We have screwed up royally with Syria, we have let the Russians get a few too many steps ahead of us. We need someone who can handle Putin. That is the reason why I have been so disgusted with both the left and the right. Domestic social issues are irrelevant until we can deal with this. Gay marriage, bathroom rights, religious liberty, etc... these can wait, foreign policy expertise is what we need. I will be amazed if we get that with Trump, if so I will be happy, but I won't hold my breath.

Re-establish Russian hegemony over Eastern Europe, re-emerge as a world power with power projection abilities (i.e. recent sortie of the Admiral Kuznetsov CV to to the Mediterranean), diminish US influence across the world, quash domestic opposition at home via nationalist sentiments emphasizing "Russian Values."

That's a basic primer.

The fact that I would wager most Americans aren't aware of this is somewhat disheartening.

Sounds kinda like what we do.

Sounds kinda like what we do.

To an extent possibly, but given Putin's background and the fact that our government is as transparent as plate glass compared to the Russians I would rather have those attempts stymied.

He wants a return to Cold War status of Russia and if he can somehow manipulate the US into being a stooge of his that would be the ideal poetic justice in Putin's mind.

When there is fear those in charge can capitalize on it with a power grab. The more we are the enemy the stronger his hold is and vice versa. We would benefit more from peace than another cold war. In peace he is more susceptible to influence.

Russia voted for the UN resolution.

The US delegation did not.

Hmmm...

C'mon Cats; you know that the US by abstaining was without a doubt voting FOR the resolution. That plus Kerry's pitiful speech solidified that he and Obama were not only all for it but also were very integral in crafting it...
