Clay does have some players banged up and Lewis has been on crutches all week, not sure if he will start tonight. Stepp has got permission (By Appeal)to be there tonight though.

I would bet that Coach Cobb would like some sub-par competition right now. By the way, how did the 8th grade game turn out for you last night?

 

I thought this was about Clay Co./Letcher Co. but Coach Cobb always schedules quality pre-district games. Perhaps y'all should try it--how many district/regional titles has your pre-district slate of patsies won the tigers over the years? I'm not remiss about the poor competition: the combined record of Clay's first 4 opponents is 4-10, Somerset's 13-2. We'll see where each team finishes in its district. The pre-district schedule is meaningless except to get ready for the games that coutn.

 

Clay won the 8th grade game 30-6 but my son starts for the 7th grade team--they scored 18 unanswered points to win 18-12 so the game I came to see worked out nicely for me. He did have to play center in the 8th grade game after our 8th grade center was hit on the back of the neck while long snapping on a punt and while I would like to have seen the 8th grade win his class took care of their game.
