December 29, 20169 yr Looks at the countries or terrorist organzation that surrond Israel . Supplying Israel with weapons allows them to fight battles for us . Also if we need access for our Military we have a strategic partner. Israel spy network may be 2nd only to us in the modern world , so being able to share their intel is a huge plus since they live in the region. #5 like I said before may make me hypocrite but as someone who studies history I never want to stand by and allow another Holocaust to happen. I can respect your position of wanting to stay out much more than those who want to side with terrorists. The Obama Adminstration admitting helping to orchestrate the bill behind closed doors and Kerry meeting with Palestinian leadership on Dec. 12th doesn't sit well with me.
December 30, 20169 yr I disagree with BirdBrains assestment. We ally with Israel 1. Many groups want them extinct 2. They give us strategic access to the Middle East 3. They have a strong Military and spy network 4. The same people who want to destroy them want to destroy us 5. Because it is the right and ethical thing to do. I don't think we disagree. The things you state are factual. The reason we agree is #4…those people want to destroy them because of their faith and beliefs..we, as a nation, believe the same.

Tell me where you read about this meeting, please. I was explaining it to my niece but I did not have facts, except the meeting or phone call with Egypt. This is the most underhanded devious spiteful act the Obama Administration has committed. We will always be on the side of Israel and we now know Obama's true colors.

It was on Kerry's calender on the state department website a few days ago. They removed it. That is why they went from denying influence on the resolution to talking about how they influenced it.

Having never been in those shoes. I know there are many over there with distrust and/or hatred for the us -- and the west as a whole -- stemming from it's support of Israel. Are you speaking of recent terrorist events in France and Germany? If so, the line is way more curvy and crooked, rather than the straight parallel you draw.

Off the top of my head, and with not a ton of thought...our bases (if we had them in Europe back then :idunno:), our diplomats, our businesses, our embassys, or if it appeared reasonable that an attack could occur.
