As I said, I'm not completely sure where I stand on it. Without the attack at PH, I definitely would've been in more of a wait and see approach. Probably would've gotten to a point that intervention was necessary, but was that point already reached by the PH attacks? I'm not sure on that. I definitely lean very much more towards an isolationism view than an interventionism one though. Obviously, there are going to be (or have been) instances that are going to be an exception to that, and the Holocaust is probably one of them.

I don't think we understood the gravity of the situation until we arrived in Europe. Unlike a case, like with Rwanda where we pretty much knew a mass genocide was planned/taking place...

I know there are many over there with distrust and/or hatred for the us -- and the west as a whole -- stemming from it's support of Israel. Are you speaking of recent terrorist events in France and Germany? If so, the line is way more curvy and crooked, rather than the straight parallel you draw. I know us helping Israel ticks a lot of terrorists off I just dont think that is close to the only reason.

They hate us for supporting Israel , they hate us for being in the middle east , they hate our religions, they hate our lifestyles. By lifestyles I mean they hate we treat women with respect , they hate we respect LGBT, they hate our TV , they hate our movies, they hate our music , they hate our wealth. My point is there isn't just one answer to why they hate us or want to kill us. I just won't change my life or actions for terrorists.

I thought we were talking about those who want to harm us ? That's what you quoted, those people are terrorist. I didn't say all Palestinians are terrorists.

I'd say there are a good number of people who have a disdain for our involvement over there not because of religious reasons, but because they see us as sticking our noses in something that isn't our concern. I don't think that makes them evil, or anti-semites necessarily.

Does just not liking them because of their faith make them anti-semites, or do they have to act upon it in some manner? Sorry, that's probably a question for another thread, and one that can be applied to any dislike for a specific group of people. Just a tangent my mind went off on. :idunno:
