Augusta was down 6 with less than 4 to play. Valiant effort from the young Panthers. Allen in early and constant foul trouble but I'm sure this talented young man will figure that out in time with Keaton's help.

For some reason...(.old age?)...I was heading to Falmouth tonight to see Allen and the Wildcats play the Panthers. Sorry I missed this game. Sounds like Panthers surprised lots of folks with this near upset on the road.

Hmmmm ... interesting. Pendleton Co. is expected to be that good this year?

Did PC have an off night or has Augusta just been vastly overlooked by most counting myself?

 

Although PC won the game I figured the margin would be 20+. And someone posted it was a 4 point game at one point. That's impressive for Augusta to hang in there with a PC team many had as a top 5 region team. When most had Augusta down in the bottom third.

Augusta had that fiery look from last years team out the gate. Allen's early foul trouble put them in a really good position. Once the dust settled, Allen got going, but it didn't rattle Augusta until late, with a few costly turnovers. A few other Wildcats stepped up and hits some key shot in the first quarter to close the gap. Augusta's played good zone defense.

Coach Kirk reported 11 Panther turnovers in 4th qtr. Young and inexperienced. Might surprise a few people as these youngsters mature.
