I don't pretend to know much about the Syria mess. From what I do know Assad is evil, and the Russians keep him from being toppled.

The earth may be on fire cause I agree with this Hellcats. Assad is evil. I dont trust the Russians one bit either. But when all the details come out about the Arab Spring from a few years back, I have a sneaky suspicion that the USA is going to have their hands all up in it courtesy of the outgoing President.

Didn't we arm and assist through the CIA most of the rebels in the arab spring which turned around and joined Isis once they won with our weapons. This may be what Putin is refering too. We have done more harm to the region with destabilization efforts and have had no plan afterwards to deal with the mess we helped create. We left a vacuum for terrorists right at Putin's door step. So I can understand the angst against Obama's and Clinton's failure, and that's an understatement. We have not gained a single thing in our meddling overseas. A Clinton presidency would have continued this mindless meddling and almost assured us a war with Russia. Can anyone tell me why so many Americans still view Russia as an enemy? They could be a great allie in an effort to help stabilize the world instead of the USA still trying to undermine them at every turn. For the most part haven't they given up on the failed socialism experiment that idiots here keep trying to lie, cheat and steal to get. We are aggressive torwards them , who isn't attacking us, but respond cowardly to the islamists who are actually attacking us? The last 8 years has turned our foreign policy upside down and not for the better.
