Why did Indiana play this game on the road?

 

I assume it was either a play to the IU fans in the northern part of the state or a chance to send James Blackmon back to the city he played his high school ball. On the latter, my buddy that's an IU fan says that's the sort of thing Crean likes to do.

Good for IU for playing on the road this early in the year. They'll be better for it.

The on-court interview with IPFW's head coach after the game was one of the many reasons why sports are so great.

 

Former Xavier GA Ben Botts is on staff at IPFW, he was not unhappy last night after the game.

That was a great interview. He was very complimentary to Crean for taking the game in Fort Wayne.

And while this was a "road" game, there were a ton of IU fans in attendance. They play at a larger multi-purpose facility.

I don't usually like cheering against teams, but Jeff Goodman made me happy to see IU lose this one last night.
