November 24, 20169 yr I have never heard of it either. Nor would I assume 99% of America. Not sure if it is warranted or not, but the phrase "White Supremacist" has become more prevalent from my social media vantage. I always thought that was a klan guy or skin head, now it seems a "white supremacist" it is any white person with power. And maybe it has always had a more broad meaning, but as an American I am not comfortable with some of these terms that seem to have become way more encompassing than I feel they are intended. Or it could just be my ignorance. Come on, B. Do you really believe that people are calling white people in power white supremacists? Seriously? I'm not sure if that is what you mean but that is how your post reads. If that is the case I am surrounded by white supremacists even more than I ever could have imagined.

The BMF is way more legit than the New Black Panthers. Way more. I'd love to know how far the BMF has infiltrated society in disguise. They are not to be dismissed. The original Black Panthers don't have anything to do with the New Black Panthers and no one that I know is involved with either organization and no one I know speaks of either organization. The original Black Panthers are inclusive. The New Black Panthers would be white nationalists if they were white.

I would label them black surpremacists more than anything else. Their political views on guns and the second amendment is the only thing that connects them to the original Black Panthers and their views on guns are way more in line with conservatives so I think describing them as far left is disqualified.
November 24, 20169 yr So I had to look up NPI. Had no idea what it was. So the NPI is a non-profit and the leader is credited with coining Alt-right. They have their national convention this year after Trump is elected and they get about 200 attendees. So how many people fall into the Alt-right? Their national convention gets roughly 200 people and I read there are less than 4,000 KKK members. So all this fuss is over less than .001 percentage of our population? How is this different than the Black Panthers again? Sounds like a very small minority of the people that no one gives any credence. That puts things in a better perspective. Good post.

You can label them Alt Left if you want. It just seems to me that people who passionately defend the 2nd Amendment and oppose any kind of gun control wouldn't be labeled Alt Left. One of the reasons the folks are labeled Alt Right is because they are extremely conservative in all of their views. Plus they call themselves the Alt Right. They embrace that label and invented that label. Wouldn't being a supporter of the 2nd Amendment and totally against any kind of gun control keep you from being labeled any kind of left anything? I can't stand the New Black Panther Party so it you want to call them Alt Left it doesn't bother me at all. I was assuming their passion about guns and their lack of political affiliation wouldn't give them Alt Left status. Nevermind that their is no history of Alt Left ever being mentioned while those in the Alt Right gave themselves that label and embraced it. This is America. If you want to call them Alt Left you have every right to. I just don't think it makes sense but you are free to call them as you choose. If the NBP call themselves Alt Left then they are even more dumb than I thought and seeing as I how I think they are a disgrace to the original BP I call them a lot of things and I definitely am not going to defend them from any name that anyone wants to call them.
