Multiple NBA Teams Won't Stay at Trump Hotels

Featured Replies

He'll be here all week, ladies and gentlemen! Be sure to tip your waiters!

:lol2: :lol2:

I think I'm probably just tired of athletes and sports franchises trying to be too political. You're a basketball franchise. Shut up and play basketball. No one cares where you spend the night.

They are rich basketball players...their taxes aren't getting raised. Besides, why should they stay in Trump Hotels??

I was just making a joke about it. Who cares what they do. Tired of folks crying about the silly election. Did they stay there before he won? I'm just amazed how things/perceptions have changed since the election.

So then why kick them out of the NBA over it? :lol2:

Plus the media made this a story. Not the sports franchises. Nobody does care where they stay. Why is it even a story? Oh, because the media said so. Cue the public overreaction and hyperbole.

Really? This is the first time things/perceptions have changed after an election?

False.

The only people that care about this say they don't even watch the NBA.

This is a non story. I don't care even a little where they stay or don't stay.

Preach!

Apparently not. I know you now fear walking the streets but didn't prior to the election?

I'm black. I've always feared walking the streets. The election didn't change that.

In this thread you did say you feared it more since Trump was elected. I asked you why and you never responded.

For the record, my wife was in downtown Cincy Saturday. Trump had some protesters and BLM was protesting the Tensing hung jury. I told her to get out of there in case the peaceful protests got out of hand. Never had to worry about that before the election.

I do. That's a natural fear in today's climate when you read about all of the hate crimes that took place after Trump won. He was only on 60 Minutes on Sunday night when he told his supporters to stop it. If I were white I wouldn't have to worry about it. Now that we have a white supremacist as his Chief Strategist I worry even more. They may try to throw blacks in those Muslim Interment camps they keep talking about.

BLM was going to protest the hung jury regardless of who won the election. They've only been protesting for the past year and a half. That BLM protest had zero to do with the election.

I did see there were some random hate crimes shortly after the election from both sides. So sad for the country.

As for the bolded, They joined protesting with the Trump protesters that day. Just made the crowd larger. Larger the crowd, the higher the chances of mob mentality taking over. Glad it remained peaceful and my wife didn't spend too much money at the holiday market.

Truth, truth and a definite truth. :lol2: Christmas is right around the corner. I've damn near been living at work and will be for the next month hopefully. Gotta get the cash, gotta get the dough.

Kick them out of the NBA!!!!!!!

Wouldn't hurt my feelings.
