Actually it was 49-6 final... Can someone correct the title score..

Butler County radio folks said they hadn't seen a team this good all year and it didn't matter if it was Butler Co. or Owensboro Catholic, Mayfield's D is/will be in the backfield all night. Close to perfection tonight for Mayfield.

The rest of 2A had better bring their A game against the Cardinals. They are on a mission. These group of seniors are gonna make sure this team finishes strong!

 

Don't want to be too overconfident but I truly think the only team that's gonna beat Mayfield the rest of the way is Mayfield!

Looked reall good tonight. Trajon looked like he had an extra gear and just refuses to go down.

Mayfield played a near perfect game and I agree, if they play like they did tonight, they're going to be awfully tough to beat, but, I think most people expected this type of game tonight against an outmanned Butler team.. Starting next week is when it gets tough for everyone remaining in the AA playoffs..

Gridiron Glory highlights on WPSD were terrible, don't bother checking them out. One touchdown highlight for Mayfield, one for Butler and two other random plays. There for the entire game and that was the best offering.

Death of the King!

 

King Rex advocates his throne at the hands of a group of Cardinal seniors that still recall getting knocked out of the 8th grade state playoffs. Kind of ironic that the road ended in Mayfield for Butler Co. I must give credit where it is due, King Rex was a heck of a player. I have no idea if he has any college plans but wish him the best.

Yeah I know right. OC/Murray had better highlights. Well I should say OC and we don't even cover that area on our local sports news.
