They are pretty tough.

Boy, Bardstown did not play well tonight. It was as if the defense was standing still. That was not the team that played Central to a two point loss a few weeks ago.

Lexington Catholic were excellent tacklers and blockers, were disciplined, well coached, and had done a really nice job of scouting film. All season long, Bardstown has had trouble defending counter, cutback, and screen, and tonight the Knights ran a whole lot of counter, cutback and screen.

It was a great season for 17 talented Tigers seniors and they made a nice run. They should be proud of themselves and their efforts this year. On to basketball.

Give my crow extra done.

Looks like we are headed for a Belfry/LexCath rematch.

Granted, LexCath was a machine on offense. Lots of ways to beat you.

Tigers had some bad luck for sure though. They moved the ball well on the opening drive of the game, but the offense stalled at midfield after Tariq Armor got hurt after a first-down run. He was able to return, but losing that weapon even for a few plays hurt.

LexCath scored on a long drive to go up 7-0, then got the onside kick and cashed in to go up 14-0. Bardstown couldn't get going on its next drive, and the Knights made it 21-0 early in the 2ndQ. Tigers got a long TD pass on next drive, but could never get closer.

Knights muffed a pair of punts and recovered both, and also recovered their own fumble after a long run. Santrel Farmer just missed on picking off two passes.
