What it says about me is that nothing could ever motivate me to vote for a presidential candidate who has committed crimes that would have resulted landed me in prison.

 

Had Democrats not nominated a criminal, I would not be trying to decide whether to vote for a serial liar like Trump or to cast a protest vote for some third party candidate.

 

Clinton and Trump are not only serial liars, they are both very bad liars. Does anybody dispute that fact? How many video examples of them telling mundane lies to voters do we need to see to stipulate to the fact that neither of them has earned a merit badge for honesty?

 

What I don't understand is focusing on silly, inconsequential lies such as this one, and trying to persuade people to vote for a criminal by ridiculing Trump for dishonesty. Maybe the FBI should be investigating Trump for something, but as far as we know, they are only investigating one candidate for potentially impeachable offenses.

I realized that a long time ago. The threads that I've authored recently have been pretty much centered on polling. Spending an inordinate amount of time and effort on anything else election-related is a waste of my time. I have more productive ways of spending time.

So when left with the choice between two candidates who can't be trusted leading the most powerful country in the world the logical solution is to tear down one of them and pump up the other?

The solution is to learn from one's mistakes and this country has made enough mistakes not to have nominated either Trump nor Hillary. Ridiculing one of two bad candidates is supporting the lesser of two evils, whether you wish to acknowledge that fact or not. As for this election, there is no fixing stupid.

You are not the only one here who has cast third-party ballots. I was a Perot voter soon realized that my vote led to a far, far worse alternative than a second George H. W. Bush term. I have not yet decided whether to abandon the #NeverTrump camp, but the mounting evidence that Hillary Clinton has already committed impeachable crimes is making it very difficult for me to justify casting another protest vote.

 

Yes, both candidates suck, but I am pretty sure that one of them is a criminal of the worst sort. The prospect of rewarding her for committing crimes against this country by voting for a third-party candidate is making this a very difficult decision.
